Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy

Dermatofunctional physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy within physical medicine and rehabilitation. It focuses on treating conditions related to changes in skin function, as well as in the glands and sensory receptors.

This treatment takes a holistic approach, aiming not only to improve aesthetic appearance but also to restore and enhance the body's functions. The goal is to promote well-being and improve quality of life.

The treatment aims to address functional disorders and support the rehabilitation of individuals whose physical abilities have been affected by various health conditions. This is achieved through non-invasive treatment methods that can contribute to greater well-being and an improved quality of life.

The multidisciplinary approach may involve collaboration with nutritionists, psychologists, specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation, endocrinologists, oncologists, dermatologists, general surgeons, plastic surgeons, and reconstructive surgeons.

Lipoedema

Lipoedema is a chronic condition that is still not fully understood. It is characterised by an abnormal accumulation of fatty tissue beneath the skin, particularly in the legs and, in some cases, the arms.
